Review of Spain Football Team Before World Cup 2014



Since 2008, Spain football team become the most powerful team in football industry. They takeover Brazil position as the king of football. Spain prove it with three champions of major tournaments, including Euro Cup 2008, World Cup 2010, and the latest, Euro Cup 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. While the other tradition country like Germany, Italy or France still in the transition era, Spain have strengthen their foundation early.  

So what's make Spain football team become so powerful?

All started in Barcelona, especially La Masia. Undoubtly, Barcelona is the main root of Spain football team right now. There always half or more players from Barcelona in Spain football team since 2008. They are Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol, David Villa, Pedro Rodriguez, and the latest Jordi Alba. The basic play of Spain football team also adopted from Barcelona style of play, called Tiki-Taka.

The Tiki-Taka is the style of play with passing as the attribute key. Player in team must can pass ball from one player to another while create an empty space to scoring goal. Barcelona with Tiki-Taka succesful win all tournament they follow on 2009 with Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta as the central of midfielder. The success of Barcelona also spread on Spain football team with three major tournaments that they win. Spain's coach Vicente Del Bosque also admit that Barcelona help the progress of Spain.

But Spain is not Barcelona. There are players from outside Barcelona who play in Spain football team. Real Madrid have Iker Casillas as captain, Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and Raul Albiol in Spain's squad. Other players come from domestic league such Alvaro Negredo, Jesus Navas, Fernando Llorente, and Roberto Soldado. There also several stars from English Premier League. David Silva from Manchester City, Juan Mata or Fernando Torres from Chelsea, Santi Cazorla or Nacho Monreal from Arsenal or in the waiting list for his first cap, Michu from Swansea. Vicente Del Bosque also call some young players who become the next Spain's players in future. They are like Isco from Malaga, Benat from Betis, Merkel Susaeta and Iker Muniain from Bilbao, or David De Gea from Manchester United.

With all that such quality players, Spain, undoubtly become the most predictable team that will be lift the champions on World Cup 2014 in Brazil. But can Spain create history once again? Let's wait and see ...
