Barack Obama, Person of the Year 2012 Time Magazine


                                                      

At December 20, 2012 ago, Time Magazine announced the re-Person of the Year award. Time Magazine award is given to individuals or people who have a contribution, innovation, achievement, popularity and remarkable achievement in a full calendar year. The award is routinely given by Time Magazine from 1927 through 2012.

To award Person of the Year 2012 was awarded to U.S. President Barack Obama. Earlier, Obama had also received a similar award in 2008 when he was first elected as President of the United States.

In addition to Barack Obama as the winner, do not forget Time magazine also announced four candidates were elected as Runner Up. For the year 2012, four runner-up was carried by Malala Yousafzai, Mohamed Morsi, Fabiola Gianotti, and Tim Cook.

Malala Yousafzai (see picture) is a Pakistani girl who dared to oppose the Taliban regime. While Mohamed Morsi is the new President of Egypt after Egypt had prolonged conflict. Fabiola Gianotti is a legal expert on particle physics famous Italian origin. While Tim Cook is Apple's new CEO after Steve Jobs's death last year.

Earlier, Time magazine has announced 40 candidates winning Person of The Year 2012. Among the candidates are fairly well known, but failed to win the award Person of the Year 2012, is the Kim Jong Un, American gymnast Gabby Douglas, Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi, secretary of state Hillary Clinton, singer Gangnam Style home Psy Korea, Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyuhu, swimmer and Olympic record holder Michael Phelps, American presidential candidate Mitt Romney, and rapper Jay Z.

In the end, Barack Obama was chosen as Person of the Year 2012. The election of Barack Obama as the winner of Person of the Year 2012 is actually pretty surprised many. It is based on the consideration that many other more worthy candidates to win this penghagaan despite successful re-elect Barack Obama as President of the United States in 2012.

Editor of Time Magazine, Michael Scherer explained if the election of Barack Obama as Person of the Year 2012 is not without reason. Obama is considered more experience and a better reputation for dealing with the problems that exist in government. Scherer also said that if Obama is in a better position to face the crisis in America today.
